1st to 31st August:  Treasure and Trinkets Trail at Newstead Abbey

1st August to 2nd September 2017:  Taster Sessions for 5-7 year olds at Nottingham
                                                               Climbing Centre.  1 hour's duration.  £7 per child.

One-off Events:

14th to 18th August: 
Worksop by the Sea - the Old Market Square, Worksop.  Grab
                                     your swimming costumes and head to Worksop, where the
                                     Market Square will be covered with sand, adorned by deckchairs
                                     and there will be lots of fun activities.


14th August:
Summer of Sport at Clumber Park. This FREE event offers you the chance
                       to have a go at loads of different sports, including archery, hockey and
                       skipping.  Booking not required.  Free event but normal admission applies.


15th August: 
Dinosaur Orienteering at the Forest Recreation Ground, Nottingham.
                        1pm to 3pm.  No need to book.  Meet at the Pirate Ship play area.

15th August:   FREE Family Fun Day at the Robert Shaw Playing Field, Leen Valley
                         Suitable for the whole family.  Bring a picnic!  11am to 2

15th August:   FREE Family Fun Day at Chediston Park in Basford.  11am to 2pm.
                         Parachute games, team games and music.  Bring a picnic

15th August:  Junior Activity Day at Nottingham Climbing Centre

15th August:   Outdoor Theatre - Twelfth Night at Wollaton Hall

15th August:   FREE Family  Fun Day at the Archbishop's Palace in Southwell.
                         Join Robin Hood and his merry outlaws on a jolly medieval day.
                         Free entry. No booking required.  Lots to see and do.


16th August: 
Superhero Day at White Post Farm

16th August:  Junior Activity Day at Nottingham Climbing Centre

16th August: 
Kids Crafts at Sherwood Forest Arts and Craft Centre, Edwinstowe.
                       
Small charge for activities.  Painting, drawing, sewing, circus skills.

16th August:   Gawthorne Street Park Fun Afternoon.  1pm to 3pm.  FREE. 
                         Launch of new play equipment.  Arts and crafts, smoothie bike, stalls,
                         free refreshments.


16th and 17th August:  City Arts Mas Camp

17th August: 
Dog Safety for Kids at Mansfield Museum
17th August:  Petri Dish Puzzles at Green's Windmill

17th August:  Children's Butterfly Hunt at Sherwood Forest.  10.30am to 12.  £2.50.
                        Pre-booking essential.

18th August:  Meet a Guide Dog Day at Mansfield Museum
18th August:  Northanger Abbey Outdoor Theatre at Newstead Abbey
18th August:  British Horological Institute Open Day.  11am to 3.00 pm.
18th August:  Summer of Fun -  Drumming Workshop, Southwell.  12noon.  FREE.

19th August:  FREE Family Fun Day at Chediston Park in Basford.  Suitable for the
                        whole family.  Don't forget your picnic!  11.30 am to 1.30 pm.

19th August:  FREE Outdoor Film at Rufford Abbey.  Enjoy the outdoor film experience
                        and see Toy Story for free today.  The show starts at 2pm and you can just
                        turn up.  No booking required.  (Car parking charges apply).

19th August:  AGE UK Notts Adventure Golf Competition at Highfields Park.

19th and 20th Aug:  Gloworm Festival at Clumber ParkFamily Fun Festival.
