Festival Arts Zone (FREE)
1st and 2nd August 2009

Come and experience Nottingham's Riverside Festival with great entertainment and activities for young festival-goers to enjoy.  Families and young people will find plenty to do in the Art Zone. The Zone is conveniently located at the top field of Victoria Embankment. Come along and take part for FREE in a whole host of exciting and fun activities. Let your artistic juices run free. 

Octopus's Garden QS
Indulge your creativity, be inspired and go on a creative quest to the bottom of the ocean where you can make spectacular sea creatures.  

Time:  1st August, 12.00 noon - 9.00 pm  
             2nd August, 12 noon - 6.00 pm 
 
Children's Story Time QS
Sit down and relax as you join our storyteller in the Octopus's Garden to hear fantastic fishy tales from the briny deep. (Suitable for under 8 years)

Time:  1st August, 2.00 pm - 2.30 pm  
             2nd August, 2.00 pm - 2.30 pm

Pedro's Circus Skills QS
Join in one of Pedro's "have-a-go circus workshops" and try out a wide range of circus equipment and suprise yourself by learning some fabulous, fun circus skills.

Time:  1st August, 1.00 pm - 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm   
             2nd August, 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm

Natural England's Marine Fun
Enjoy this fun Natural England activity where you can learn about the mysterious landscapes to be found under the sea. Create your own undersea landscapes, sea creatures and porthole pictures.

Time:  1st August, 12.00 noon  - 9.00 pm   
             2nd August, 12.00 noon - 6.00 pm

BBC Headroom - Chill Zone
Express yourself by taking part in an enjoyable variety of arts and physical activities including Yoga, Tai Chi, drumming workshops or create your own self portrait out of clay. All workshops help promote positive mental health and well-being.

Time:  1st August, 12.00 noon  - 9.00 pm   
             2nd August, 12.00 noon - 6.00 pm

Pokémon Village
Join in this great opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of all things Pokémon at the Pokémon Village. Try your hand at a visual arts activity, listen to music, watch cartoons, or challenge someone to a round of your favourite game.

Time:  1st August, 12.00 noon - 9.00 pm    
             2nd August, 12.00 noon - 6.00 pm

Watch out for beautiful butterfly banners created by children's SureStart groups across the city fluttering in the Art Zone.
