Forest Recreation Ground
The Forest Recreation Ground sits about a mile north of the city centre and is well known to many visitors as the site of the annual Nottingham Goose Fair. In addition to hosting many other popular events, Forest Recreation Ground also has a variety of recreation facilities which includes football pitches, play areas, bowls greens and a number of designated leisure walks.

Nottingham Play Day and Parklife (FREE)

6th August 2009

Come down to the park at the Forest Recreation Ground and make time to play with the spectacular annual Nottingham Play Day, which will be bigger and better than ever before by joining up with the Parklife event. 

An exciting range of FREE play opportunities will be available to meet all children's needs, including cooking over campfires, giant model making and environmental play. 

Join with artist Annette Waterfield in her tepee, as she uses stories to explore the exciting world of the Native American Indian.  Try your hand at making your own kite.

There will also be the usual sports, crafts, games and community information stands.  Bring a picnic and spend a fun-packed day in the park.

Time:  11.00 am to 4.00 pm
