Newark Town Hall and Spotlight Gallery
Newark Town Hall has housed the Mayor and the Town Council since it was built in 1776. In September 1999, the Town Hall became a registered museum, opening up access to the Grade 1 listed building and its treasures.

The Treasures on view to the public today include a fine collection of paintings, furniture, ceremonial silver and civic gifts.  Housed in the Georgian Town Hall, together they represent four centuries of local government in Newark.

The Spotlight Gallery provides an ideal space for local community groups and artists to exhibit their work.  The regularly changing programme of temporary exhibitions means that there is something of interest for everyone to enjoy.

Winter Beer Festival

29th and 30th January 2010 

Following the success of Newark's Beer Festival, a second event will take place in Janury 2010.

The festival, which will be organised by the Newark branch of CAMRA, will take place at Newark Town Hall.

Time:  11.00 am to 11.00 pm

Cost:
£5 entry all sessions. Card-carrying members £2 all sessions. Souvenir tankards £2.50, refundable glass hire £1.
