D H Lawrence Birthplace Museum
The D H Lawrence Birthplace Museum is an astounding recreation of a Victorian family home, which is brought to life through informative and friendly guides.  This is the house where D H Lawrence was born in 1855.

At Durban House Heritage Centre discover the world as it was when Lawrence was a child, a well as details of his later life and works.  Visit the Rainbow Gallery on site to see a diverse range of contemporary art.

Then finish off by completing the Blue Line Trail, which takes you to all of the homes and places of interest connected to D.H Lawrence in Eastwood.

Victorian Christmas Tour
Many Christmas traditions began in the Victorian era. Discover more about how we came to celebrate Christmas with stockings; mistletoe; crackers; cards; trees and carol singers! Special costumed guides twill be available to lead you through the delights of a Victorian Christmas, at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum.
 
Times: 11am - 3pm
Open: open daily - group and school visits are welcome (please phone in advance to book a group visit)
Admissions: Free admission Mon - Fri. There is a small admission charge at weekends to non Broxtowe Borough residents.
