Covering 3,800 acres Clumber Park was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. Although the house was demolished in 1938 the Gothic Revival Chapel, the immense Limetree Avenue and the spectacular glasshouses all remain to give clues to its past. Why not experience a taste of the past in our organically managed Walled Kitchen Garden or hire a cycle to explore Clumber's mosaic of habitats, have a picnic by the lake or watch a game of cricket. |
