Experience Nottingham city centre's hidden gems as you've never seen them before with Light Night 2010. Friday 12 February take to the streets with friends and family and discover a world of fantastical events and illuminations for everyone to enjoy.
• Nottingham's Hidden Spaces
• The Return of the 'Wheel of Nottingham'
• Light Night Events on Offer
This will be Nottingham's third Light Night event and the city is getting ready to reveal some hidden gems with its theme of 'Hidden Spaces'. Most of the events are FREE and look out for special offers in city centre restaurants, cafes and bars.

Organised by Nottingham City Council in partnership with Nottingham BID (Business Improvement District), Light Night aims to bring something special to visitors by allowing them to access the city's cultural offer late into the night and to give families an opportunity to do something different.
The evening kicks off with a choir of 500 children from all over Nottingham coming together to perform a concert in Old Market Square under the big 'Wheel of Nottingham'. Their voices will serenade riders on the Wheel offering them stunning view of the city and beyond as they are lifted high above the Council House.

On the night you'll be able to follow trails of illuminations, interact with light installations and seek out the quiet sectors of the city such as Nottingham Castle, St. Mary's Church and Bromley House that are not normally visited at night. Listen to members of the public play the piano at the Theatre Royal and go on a ghost tour of Nottingham Playhouse. Watch street performances and late night films at Broadway, celebrate Chinese New year by hanging a lantern and much, much more.
Nottingham's Goddess will be parading in the street with her entourage of dancers and musicians. See some of Nottingham's top Fencers as they demonstrate their skill and try your hand at the magic of physics.
Love your city and take part in Light Night as love will be in the air and you'll be guaranteed to fall in love with Nottingham.
