The Dakota Grill concept is simple. No compromise and no corners cut. We stick to what we believe in – fantastic food using the best local suppliers.

Every meal is expertly prepared by the finest emerging young chefs from all corners of the U.K, using the finest seasonal produce from around the British Isles.

With fish served the very day it is caught by Scotland's finest fish merchants, to the succulent, sweet oysters courtesy of Wright Brothers from Borough Market in London, the origin of all our produce is at the heart of the Dakota Grill.

The focus of each Grill is atmosphere and experience. Our food is outstanding, not overbearing, allowing the atmosphere to come alive. Our new Summer Menu is now available.

For breakfast Dakota Grills are open from 6.30am, Monday to Friday and 7.00am at weekends. Private dining rooms available on request.

"Lunch at the Dakota Hotel was an unexpected delight. I had never eaten at the hotel restaurant before and wasn't sure what to expect but the service was impeccable and the food flawless.

I started with bread and olives, followed up by mushroom risotto, which was cooked to perfection. I was told that the Chef had previously worked at Harts, which perhaps explained the high standards. The dessert menu was too tempting to refuse and, after eating the entire serving of Eaton Mess, I had to admit that it was one of the best I had ever tasted!

The surroundings in the restaurant are lovely - very contemporary and luxurious but i also felt that I could relax and enjoy my food, as everyone in the hotel was very friendly and not at all stuffy.

I would definitely recommend the Dakota - I can imagine that its a lovely place to stay for a romantic weekend or to celebrate a special occasion. It would also be perfect if you are looking for somewhere for a business lunch, as there is loads of free parking and the hotel is close to the motorway and only 15 minutes from Nottingham.
