Market Square Historically, the Old Market Square, right in the heart of Nottingham City Centre, forms a meeting place for the people of Nottingham and is also the location for local events, civic protests, royal visits, celebrations and public mourning. It was redesigned and reopened in 2007.
Many of Nottingham's most defining moments have occurred here.
The fabulous Lady Boys of Bangkok are back in spectacular style with the new 2010 production of the country’s favourite cabaret party show.
It’s non-stop entertainment all the way. From Lady Gaga to the Saturdays …from Sarah Brightman to Bryan Adams... from a fantasy in outer space to the intensity of sensuous Latin rhythms…. from West End musical to Hollywood blockbuster…. the hits keep on coming as only Lady Boys of Bangkok can deliver. Also singled out for special attention is their favourite Thai TV show – BANGKOX GOT TALENT. But other than saying they are inviting some “celebrity guests” they are keeping the details very close to their ample bosoms.
In a flamboyant extravaganza combining the heady spice of Bangkok's exotic nightlife with the glamorous showgirl appeal of Las Vegas, The Lady Boys of Bangkok is staged in the unique ambiance of the Sabai Pavilion, in Derby, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Leeds and Belfast. Early booking is advisable. Between Sabai Pavilion seasons, a theatre show tours the UK (for your nearest theatre please check in “venues” section).
Performed by 16 of the world’s most beautiful show-girls (who just happen to be men!) it’s the show everyone talks about! Whether it is the trade-mark painstakingly immaculate make up; the glittering array of designer-inspired hand-made outfits; the sheer effervescence and style of the performance; the show-stopping choreography or the saucy – but never crude or vulgar – comedy.
There will be more costumes (nearly 500) than ever before to , quite literally, cover the vast range of production numbers - ranging from Starship Troopers to hot–blooded Latins; from stylised casual summer wear to fantastic feathers and even from the historical to the hysterical. When it comes to Fantasy & Feathers – no-one does it better than the fabulous LADY BOYS OF BANGKOK.
The fantasy starts as soon as you enter the fully carpeted Sabai Pavilion. You have left behind your daily existence and are transported to Bangkok’s exotic nightlife. Inhale the aroma of freshly prepared Thai food – then choose from a range of mouth-watering dishes. The licensed bars in the foyer and auditorium are stocked with a wide range of beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks. The Boudoir is stocked with an amazing range of delightful souvenirs, novelties, hats, masks and exclusive Lady Boys of Bangkok DVDs – the perfect reminder of a great night out.
In the Cabaret Room, you will be escorted to your table by Thai hostesses wearing traditional silk costumes. Hugely popular with hen parties and office outings, there’s a buzz of excited anticipation as the house-lights dim and the Master of Ceremonies, Sak, announces - "The Lady Boys of Bangkok are here for (sic) entertain you!"
Direct from the heart of Bangkok’s exotic nightlife, you will be entertained – like no one has entertained you before! - by 16 of the world’s most stunningly beautiful representatives of the Third Sex (Kathoey) – the sensational Lady Boys Of Bangkok. It’s the best party night in town!

"I just wanted to say that Nottingham's Market Square is brilliant! I sat in the square today for an hour watching people having fun in the water, it was peaceful and relaxing and to top it off a duck landed in the water much to everyone’s delight. There was a Muller Rice stand in the square and they were giving away free cartons of Muller rice!"

The Parede was great, the music was superb and the stalls were good. To top it off, we finally had a go on the big wheel: fantastic!"

"Try the ice skating in the Market square, it is great fun! I took my son during the week and we just about had the whole rink to ourselves!I had not skated for many years but managed to have some fun without falling over, the staff made sure my son had a great time and took him for a great time flying around in a car.Highly recommend it for a fun experience."
