Market Square
Historically, the Old Market Square, right in the heart of Nottingham City Centre, forms a meeting place for the people of Nottingham and is also the location for local events, civic protests, royal visits, celebrations and public mourning.  It was redesigned and reopened in 2007.

Many of Nottingham's most defining moments have occurred here.

The ever-popular World Village Market returns to Nottingham promising ethically-traded foods and unique gift ideas from across the globe.

From Balinese handicrafts to hand-crafted glass art, fair trade coffee beans to locally produced speciality sausages and burgers, this unique festival-style street market features an eclectic range of eco-friendly arts, crafts, clothing, accessories and tasty treats from all over the world.

The event will take place in the Old Market Square from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th May offering visitors a fabulous range of unusual ideas including hand printed and hand embroidered textile products from India, silk scarves, crystal jewellery, trinket boxes and wind mobiles, plus colourful handbags, hats and clothing.  

Visitors will be entertained with live music from violinist, Andrew Hubbard (Thursday-Saturday).
