Royal Centre Nottingham

Incorporating the Theatre Royal and the Royal Concert Hall

Originally constructed two hundred years ago, the
Theatre Royal reopened in 1978, boasting elegant and airy foyers and bars, a 1,186 seat auditorium beautifully restored in Victorian style green and gilt decor and with fully comprehensive and technically upgraded backstage facilities. The Theatre Royal is now regarded as one of the best touring venues in the country, attracting major touring dramas, opera, ballet, West End musicals and, of course, an annual pantomime.

The Royal Concert Hall
is one of the most popular concert venues on the touring circuit, attracting leading orchestras, comedians and dance acts plus rock bands and solo artistes from all over the world. Its versatility and size make it ideal for conferences, exhibitions, scientific lectures and product launches.

The Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall are served by one Box Office which is located in the main entrance foyer of the Royal Concert Hall. It is open from 9am to 8.30pm Monday to Saturday and handles the sale of millions of tickets every year. Tickets can also be booked online at www.royalcentre-nottingham.co.uk or through the box office on 0115 989 5555.

Pantomime at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal will enter another and very exciting dimension this year as television personalities
Stephen Mulhern and Gray O’Brien lead the cast, alongside a very unusual 3D co-star, in Aladdin.

Television presenter and entertainer
Stephen Mulhern, who fronts Britain’s Got More Talent, Animals Do the Funniest Things, All Star Impression Show, Britain Does the Funniest Things and many other programmes, plays the title role of Aladdin.

Known to millions of television viewers for his role of businessman, and Liam Connor’s love rival Tony Gordon in Coronation Street,
Gray O’Brien plays Abanazar who will try to thwart poor Aladdin at every opportunity! Gray first appeared in Coronation Street in 2007 and last year was crowned ‘Villain of the Year’ at the British Soap Awards.
