Trent River Cruises

The Trent Lady riverboat has gained a reputation for exceptional quality & outstanding service.

Trent River Cruises is the owner of the “The Trent Lady”, a riverboat that has graced the waters of the Trent since 1991. The boat itself underwent a major re-fit and alterations in 2001 when Trent River Cruises was formed.

Trent River Cruises is a company that calls on over seventy years of collective knowledge in the fields of entertainment and event management. Our expertise will help you through what can be a fraught time in organising your event, whether it’s the office party or a special event, we're here to help.

The Trent Lady is presently licensed to carry seventy-four passengers, although this figure represents the maximum passengers we are permitted to carry, in the interest of comfort we recommend 40 – 50 passenger as an optimum number and 50 – 60 passenger as the maximum. It sports two fully stocked bars and has disabled access and amenities. It is moored within close proximity of our free parking area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the most frequently asked questions by our customers before booking a cruise. If these do not answer all your questions, phone us on 0115 9100 507.

Q: How long are the cruises?
A: Depending on which type of cruise you have selected the duration is normally either 2 or 3 hours in duration but can be extended if required.

Q: Are children allowed on cruises?
A: Children are allowed most daytime cruises however, they are only allowed on evening cruises if it is a Private Charter or 35 or more guests which gives exclusive use of The Trent Lady without the need to Private Charter.

Q: Do you cater for vegetarians?
A: Trent River Cruises have vegetarian options for the majority of meal choices offered, but do need to be ordered prior to the sail.

Q: Can we bring our own catering?
A: Unfortunately own catering is not permitted mainly due to Health Regulations and endorsements in our insurance. Celebration cakes are allowed.

Q: Can we get married on the boat?
A: At present we are not permitted to hold a licence to marry people onboard the boat. However there are changes impending that as we understand, will make that the registrar will hold the licence and then it will be at their discretion where they marry people. Wedding blessings are permitted either onboard The Trent Lady or on our picturesque moorings.

Q: How far does the cruise go?
A: We generally sail in a large lazy loop setting off from our moorings, to Wilford Church, turn there and cruise to Holme Pierrepoint The home of The Nation Water Sports Centre and then return to our moorings.

Q: Do you do All Inclusive Cruises?
A: The short answer to that is no. The main reason for this is due to the diverse range of products stocked on our bar most of which would be excluded. Also we do not actively encourage binge drinking.

Q: Is there any heating onboard the boat?
A: The boat is fully centrally heated which is very effective.

Q: Is the boat completely covered or is there an area to stand outside?
A: The main saloons are completely covered but there is an open area accessible from the lower deck.

Q: Are there any toilets?
A: There are toilets are situated on both decks. The one on the upper deck is designed for disabled use, which may appear to be a little strange, it being on the upper deck, but we actually board on the upper deck so it’s easy to bring wheelchairs straight over our loading ramp.

Q: Is there Disabled Access?
A: The upper deck is designed for disabled use, which may appear to be a little strange, it being on the upper deck, but we actually board on the upper deck so it’s easy to bring wheelchairs straight over our loading ramp.

Q: What are the Bar Prices?
A: Whilst we do not have the buying to compete with some of High Street outlets or clubs we are generally comparable to the run of the mill pubs & clubs.

Q: Is there a Parking Area?
A: There are two main parking areas adjacent to our moorings with a good amount of parking. However if you intend to have a drink we would recommend leaving the car at home we are only minutes from the City Centre in a taxi.
