There's fun for all the family this May bank holiday with a live concert and free family fun day at Newark Castle.
Local Queen tribute band Mercury will be appearing live at Newark Castle Grounds on bank holiday Sunday, May 29 2011.
The Spring bank holiday free family fun day kicks off in the castle grounds at 11am on Monday May 30 2011.
On the Sunday, Mercury will be on stage from 7pm to 10.30pm (gates open at 6pm).
Advance tickets are £12 (until 20/5/2011) available online at www.newark-sherwooddcevents.co.uk and from Newark Tourist Information Centre (+ a 10% booking fee.)
Tickets on the gate will be £16 (subject to availability).
Mercury are one of the world’s most authentic tributes to Freddie Mercury and Queen, emulating the charismatic appeal of rock’s most flamboyant front man, backed up by superbly crafted harmonies and intricate guitar work.

Event includes licensed bar and catering. The free family fun day starts at 11am and features music, dancing and comedy on the main stage plus archery and birds of prey demonstrations, sporting challenges, morris dancing, storytelling, clowns, jugglers, circus workshops and children's have-a-go activities.
Bring along a picnic for the perfect family afternoon. Catering and refreshments will be availble to buy on site.
