Clumber Park

Covering 3,800 acres, Clumber Park was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle.  Although the house was demolished in 1938 the ‘Cathedral in Miniature’, the vast Limetree Avenue and the spectacular glasshouses all remain to give clues to its grand past.  Why not experience a taste of the past in Clumber’s Walled Kitchen Garden or enjoy a meal in the National Trust’s first fine dining restaurant, Barkers.

Visitors can hire a bike from Clumber’s cycle hire centre and explore over 20 miles of way marked routes, or have a picnic by the lake.  Clumber’s new Discovery and Exhibition Centre opened in June 2011 – with an ever changing programme of exhibitions and events, there’s always something new to discover at Clumber Park.
