Newstead Abbey

Newstead Abbey is a beautiful historic house converted from a monastery, set in extensive formal gardens and parkland. It is the former home of the poet Lord Byron, and many of his possessions can still be seen. 

Newstead Abbey is located off the main A60 between Nottingham and Mansfield.

Take a spooky trail around the Gardens and Monks Wood, the terrifying stew pond and hear haunting tales in the walled garden.

Settle your nerves after the walk with a delicious jacket potato and hot drink in the Cafe at the abbey (included in cost).

Time:  5.30 pm to 7.00 pm
Cost:  £12 adults
