All the birthday parties are currently held in the Auditorium on the ground floor of the Making it! discovery centre . This area is transformed into a “theme” to match the type of birthday party booked. We have party scene setters which are 8’ tall and 15’ long. The disco is held in the Auditorium which has a wooden floor (great for dancing and games). This room is approx. 90 sq m. There are jungle creepers and furry animals, huge spiders (optional), chocolate themed hangings and luxurious curtains, barrels, life size princesses, treasure chests, jungle trees and bamboo etc. depending on the theme of the party.
The party food is served in our café bar which has easy access to hand washing and toilet facilities and soft play area – this room is adjacent to the Auditorium and free access is available from one room to the other.
There is an enclosed Patio area at the rear of the building with easy access to the birthday party area. This is available for use during the birthday with prior notice (no extra charge).
Our catering staff will be happy to provide a “birthday cake ceremony” and cut up the cake as required.
Our disco equipment has all been purchased new for June 2011 with roving lighted shapes on floor and ceiling, motorised glitter ball, snow machine and bubble machine LED lights. All music is kept to a suitable noise level for young children. We have roving microphones for interaction with children.
