Limestone Journeys first annual celebration begins with 'Festival of the Environment' Sunday 23 October.
A fun filled day at Creswell Crags celebrating the environment and our unique local landscape and heritage.
Lots to do for all the family: Birds of prey demonstration,Traditional crafts,Flint knapping with John Lord,Guided walks,Climbing wall, Music, Arts and crafts activities with the National Trust and others, All this and more!!
Junction Arts will be showcasing their exciting Limestone Journeys projects
Creswell Crags will be full of wonderful sights and sounds including 'The Way' a beautiful short film in the temporary gallery and 'Resonance' contemporary instruments developed by students of Shirebrook Academy which reflect the sound of the landscape. Artist Rachel Carter will be on a weeks residency at Creswell Crags creating sculptural pieces using woven willow with the help of participants, several of her finished pieces will be on display around the Crags Gorge and Meadow.
