See brilliant Venus and closeup views of the beautiful crescent Moon. Planet Jupiter with it's retinue of moons will be visible all evening. Orion the mighty hunter will be high in the south and we can view the famous Orion Nebula - a great stellar birthplace.
Bring your binoculars and let us show you the most beautiful sights of the winter sky. An evening of interest and discovery for all ages.
Refreshments - tea, coffee, hot soups and mulled wine will be available, served by the South Notts RDA, with displays, literature, telescopes and friendly astronomers to answer your questions. Wrap up warm, with plenty of layers.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
