Hart`s Nottingham

Since 1997 Hart’s Restaurant has brought to the city nationally acclaimed cooking at local prices. Hart’s is a busy 80 seater restaurant with a modern British style.

Hart’s Hotel opened in 2003, a contemporary boutique property with 32 bedrooms. Above the restaurant is Hart’s Upstairs, Nottingham’s favourite meeting point for private parties, weddings and business meetings.

Hart’s Hotel belongs to Tim Hart owner of Hambleton Hall in nearby Rutland, which for 25 years has been regarded as one of Britain’s top country house hotels with a top rated restaurant.  Tim Hart’s first Nottingham venture was the Restaurant opened in 1997 in part of the former general hospital. In 2003 Hart’s Hotel opened 20 metres from the restaurant.

The hotel is a striking modern building designed by architect Julian Marsh and situated on part of the old ramparts of Nottingham’s mediaeval castle. The build won a RIBA design award.

The hotel’s interior was designed by Stefa Hart who says ‘Hart’s is a modern classic, which I hope will look good in 100 years time. Hart’s is not at all impersonal, more a home from home. Every guest is treated as an individual – not a room number.’

High quality contemporary furniture and artwork combine with Julian Marsh’s architecture to give an up to the minute look – which never neglects comfort and practicality.
