Homemade

Established in May 2005 by Jasmin Barlow-Wilkinson, Homemade is a cosy, friendly, independent café bar serving truly delicious homemade food. Licensed and fully stocked with beers, wines and ciders – why not enjoy your favourite tipple along with your meal?

Homemade believes in supporting other local producers and local independent businesses, with the majority of our suppliers being within a 3 mile radius of the cafe.   Homemade also believes in proper food, that means proper tasty butter not rubbish additive filled margarine, sandwiches made with traditionally baked breads, jacket potatoes fluffy & oven baked and not from a silly microwave, delicious homemade burgers with lovely lean steak mince, sandwich fillings freshly prepared with love and good old fashioned baking.  Basically, we just love real food!

We are a not a fast food cafe, we are a fresh food cafe, so sit back and relax while your meal is prepared just for you.  Homemade also prides itself on being child friendly, with child booster seats and crayons at hand. The snug purple décor displays local artwork and the handwritten chalkboards are bursting with yummy treats.

Homemade Sherwood is now open and can be found in 'A Room Full of Butterflies' , serving all your usual Homemade favourites.

Homemade Pavillion

Homemade is delighted to announce the opening of it's latest venue at The Forest Pavillion.

Serving the usual delicious treats, cakes, fresh coffee and hot food, Homemade Cafe is the perfect place to sit and relax - and they are right next door to a fantastic kids playpark.

Open daily, Homemade Pavilion showcases the best of Homemade Café’s menu, which has three-times been named as regional winner and national runner-up in the ‘Best Cheap Eats’ category at the Observer Food Monthly Awards.

Breakfast dishes include Scottish smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and rocket on doorstep toast, and American pancake stacks served with fresh berries and pure maple syrup. At lunch, diners can choose from a rotating selection of specials, featuring Homemade’s signature Foxy’s Fish Finger Sandwich, Pork Schnitzel, Italian style meatballs and a griddled halloumi, roasted beetroot and cous cous salad.

There is also a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, as well as Homemade’s legendary cakes, including the famous chocolate brownie.

Bring the family along to try out our handmade Italian gelato - and play some boardgames - what a great way to spend the day.

Opening Hours:  9.00 am until teatime.

During these Winter months we will be operating shorter hours at the Pavilion until February half term.
