Mansfield Museum

This dynamic museum and art gallery contains a fascinating mix of permanent displays of local art and artefacts.  Let the exquisite Buxton watercolours take you back to the turn of the Century.  Savour the delicate beauty of the Pinxton procelain.  Discover a new green world in the hands on XplorActive environment gallery.  A child-friendly atmosphere encourages visits by younger people and their carers. Changing exhibitions aimed at all sectors of local society aim to keep the Museum a relevant player in Mansfield's cultural life and ensure that there is always something new to see.

Education in its broadest sense is a core activity, driving aspects as diverse as our extensive Schools Education Service and ArtBeat, our wide ranging holiday workshops for children of all ages.
