All children love a story in THE STORY BOOK VILLAGE, here at Sundown those wonderful tales spring magically to life “Who’s been eating my porridge, ask father Bear when you sit in his chair and i guess you will all know the tune when you play the piano in the three little pigs house!
Ahoy there! Watch out for those wicked pirates and all their friends! You’ll never know when you're going to get wet on the BOOZY BARREL BOAT RIDE, and don't forget your bucket and spade for CAPTAIN SANDY’S PLAY COVE.
All aboard the ROCKY MOUNTAIN RAILROAD, but hold on to your hats! Those pesky bandits are popping up everywhere. Bet you've never heard a goat yodel, a potato talk, or a pig sing! Well you will in SUNDOWN’S MARKET SQUARE, and do you know another PET SHOP where all the animals join in and sing a musical chorus? Or even, a WITCHES KITCHEN, where you're the one who makes magical things happen.
Me go in the MOUSE’S TALES? Not likely! But no one can be affraid of our delightful little friends, whose walk through spring, summer, autumn and winter, and then on to the exciting SANTA'S ALL YEAR SLEIGH RIDE, Who ever heard of a snowman sitting by the fire with Santa, or a reindeer in bed. Don’t miss the magnificent TRACTOR RIDE around the farmyard!
You must try our home made fudge in MOTHER HUBBARD'S KITCHEN, or take the kids for a burger and chips and then on for some ice cream! And how about buying a souvenir or even a better gift from one of our shops. Don't forget to explore the Rodeo Corral indoor play area, SHOT GUN CITY, FORT APACHE, and much, much more!
CRASH LANDINGS
Now makes Sundown an all weather attraction
Crash Landings, is our new fantastic 4 storey indoor play area and cafeteria. The play area is probably the biggest in the whole of Nottinghamshire, with the tallest slide being nearly 8m from the ground. At the top, you can slide down the water fall slide all the way to the bottom, for a crash landing. Then off again to climb crawl and explore all around the jungle where around every corner there is another surprise, maybe a giant Snake or a talking Parrot, look out for the cheeky Monkeys they could be any where. The kids will want to play forever leaving Mum and Dad, Gran and Granddad and all, to relax in our café with a lovely cup of tea, and a bite to eat.
Crash Landings is the newest project here at Sundown Adventureland with no expense spared. So you can imagine just how spectacular it is. The children’s tables are all carved with animals of all kinds, making every bit of the experience so magical and enchanting for all children and adults alike. There is a massive plane which has crashed into the building by a bungling monkey pilot, who was looking for a pit stop for some Bananas’! and missed. Every which way you turn there is something to take your eye, look up, look down, look every where, even behind you.

Review title : Great value and an amazing day out, added by : Faye (16/10/2009)

"Sundown Adventure land is a fantastic place for children and adults to enjoy. There are so many things to do and see and even if its raining, the indoor Crash Landings play centre is great fun for kids of any ages, along with a cafe to get lunch. The rides such as the santa-sleigh ride, robin hood ride, pirate water ride and tractor rides have incredible scenery to look at which the kids love. Also, places such as the monkey house, shot gun city, storybook village and lollipoppets castle have excellent sounds, music and buttons to press for the children to be involved with. There are plenty of play ground areas as well like sandymans cove for them to play in themselves. The price is a good value because there is so much to do and you can stay there all day. Sundown is a great day out. "

"I must say, I love sundown, my 4 year old thinks it is the best place ever which is useful when bargaining with him. Regarding price, last week I took him to Drayton Manor (Thomas Land) and it cost £25 just for me! So I think it is quite cheap really and a lot closer than Tamworth."

"Sundown is designed for kids under 10 years of age. I first took my son before he was walking, and didn't get the best out of it, so I decided to take him just after his 2nd birthday. It was much better when he could walk in and out of the litte houses by himself and play with the toddler sized items. The little ones can go on all the rides with their parents, but I can't say how suitable I think this place is for kids of an older age...I guess time will tell! I do think that the tickets are a little over-priced...especially as you pay for any child over 2 (whereas most places start at 3)...so for 2 parents and their 2 year old, it is £24....not really a cheap day out. The park is fairly small, and you can get around it in a few hours. They have recently added some new animatronic areas which are quite fun to watch (dancing animals etc). There are also play areas throughout the park for your kids to let off some steam...I imagine this is the main place that older kids would feel at home."
