5th to 7th August 2011


Friday: 6.30pm until 10.30pm
Saturday: 12 midday until 11.30pm.  Firework display at 10.30pm.
Sunday: 12 midday until 6.30pm.


Nottingham City Council is once again proud to present this year's FREE Riverside Festival which will take place from Friday 5 - Sunday 7 August on the Victoria Embankment.

The New Art Exchange and the Nottingham Asian Arts Council also present Nottingham Mela on Sunday 7 - part of the Riverside Festival for the first time! 

There is a host of activities for festival goers to enjoy from a bustling street fair with rides and games to a vibrant mix of live music performances from around the globe.  Street Theatre performers will bring Nottingham's largest outdoor festival to life, with comedy and animation performances to enjoy and amaze. Young and old can also step back in time with the traditional Steam Engines and Organs that will be on display.  Wander the street market where there is a world of global crafts and food stalls to explore ensuring there is something to suit all tastes.

The Dragon Boat Challenge Nottingham also makes a welcome return with teams battling it out for charity followed by the annual Duck Race.

And of course who can forget the highlight of the weekend - the jaw - dropping firework display that kicks off at 10.30pm on Saturday night!

Nottingham City Transport will also be providing special shuttle buses which will return to the city centre straight after the fireworks.

Admission to the festival is free. Car parking charges apply.
