Activities for Parents & Children
Happy Days Play Den is happy to be hosting children's activities to promote the government initiative 'Change 4 Life'.
Children can enjoy a fun packed day which promotes:

Interaction
Healthy food
On departure parents will receive a free goody bag jam packed full of ideas & suggestions on how they can provide healthy meals, snacks & indoor & outdoor activities to get the whole family moving, eating well & living longer.
A morning or afternoon at Happy Days Play Den will look like this:
9.30 - Arrive - An opportunity for the children to explore the play frame and surrounding activities (we have a reading corner, home corner & much more). 10.00 - Creative Play - which will promote the importance of eating well & moving more (this can be taken home by the children) 10.30 - A health snack & drink 11.00 - Movement Game/Activity for example action songs & games 11.30 - Goody Bags
Parents are welcome to stay longer & take advantage of our cafe, which serves homemade food & a selection of hot & cold drinks.
We firmly believe that this event will help bring to life the government's message to families to get them to move more, eat well & live longer. We can provide you with posters to advertise the event to your parents, risk assessments (if required) & you are welcome to come & have a look around beforehand.
The cost to your parents is just £1 per child, under 1's are free.

"I took my son (aged 5) and daughter (20 months) to Happy Days for a birthday party and they both had a fantastic time. Although my daughter hadn't been invited to the party, there was so much to do at the Den, that we were able to play together, while my son played with his friends. As well as the main soft play, there are various areas that have been specially created for different age groups - there's even a corner with lots of books and toys, where you can sit and relax in comfort with your baby and a toddler area with a playhouse and bits and pieces to play with.
My son and his friends enjoyed the party and devoured the food!! The staff are friendly and helpful and did eveything they could to ensure that everyone had a good time. Food and drink is reasonably priced and, although I didn't eat there myself, there seemed to be a good choice (although I can recommend the mugs of tea!!)
I would recommend Happy Days for all different ages. There is a big carpark behind and the Den is right on the main street and easy to find."

"We visit Happy Days each week during term time to allow my 2 year old to have fun with similar aged children. We sometimes meet friends which then turns into 'a day out!'I pay an excellent entrance price of £3 and we can stay as long as we want. My little girl loves the toys and activities on offer aswell as yhe play area itself, we always have a fun time and have even met new friends through going each week.The staff are very friendly too, they are relaxed and will often have a chat with you about current goings on. Finally the cakes, they are delicious.A different one on the counter each week all homemade, i often enjoy a slice of carrot cake whilst my daughter has her free homemade biscuit and drink.

"I attended a birthday party at happy days play den on Saturday. I hadn't been before and I have to say it is one of the best play areas in the area. My children are aged 3 & 7 and they both had a very enjoyable time. There is a large blue side that both children loved and lots of little tike cars that I couldn't get my 3 year old out of! I also ordered food for myself and daughter, which again was excellent value, I would highly recommend."
