"I had intended to visit Funky Pots since registering for Things to Do - as I knew it was one of the venues listed for discounts and had been recommended by a friend whom also had a two year old daughter. As it was a rainy day it seemed the perfect activity to partake in. Upon arriving it was already busy - seems it was as popular as I had heard it to be. We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to a table. I had taken a friend with my daughter and myself and were both pleasantly surprised to see we could also purchase 'a nice cup of tea' perfect on such a grim day!!! There was a huge selection of pottery items for my daughter to choose from so as to add her own 'unique' artistic creativity too.......... I myself was even beginning to want a go!! She chose a cat - then a plate and then an elephant.... yes I was in there for quite a while and I was worried it would get quite expensive. Thank goodness I had my Things to do Discount card. I am looking forward to returning next week to collect the finished goods..... yes they are all being finished 'properly' in the kiln etc. My little girl is already looking forward to painting a pig and heaven knows what else!!! All I can say is 'nanna' and 'grandma' are going to receive some nice 'unique' presents shortly......... and who knows even mum may have a go this time as they do cater for adults also..... watch this space!!"

"I had a great time at Funky Pots, the lady in charge was very nice. You can choose from loads of different types of pots to paint, from money boxes and dragons to fairies and dogs and cats. I chose a mug.Once you have painted it, you leave it there for a week and they put it in the kiln and glaze it so the paint will not run and it is like a proper cup, I cannot wait to get it back."

"Having looked on the website for somewhere to take my Mother for her birthday and also keep my 4 year old entertained I came across the funky pots feature and I cannot praise this establishment enough. The staff were so helpful and my mother now has a lovely pot gheko she painted herself and a starfish by her granddaughter. Loads of choice of items to decorate, spend as much or as little as you like and a great little cafe too."

"A group of us, which included two three year olds, three adults and a pensioner, visited Funky Pots for the first time yesterday. I was a little bit apprehensive, as I was worried that my son would either lose interest halfway through or, worse still, break something!!

However, I was very pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. We were greeted by the very friendly owners, who explained everything and set us off with choosing a piece of pottety and painting it. My son managed to complete a mug very successfully and, when he had finished, he had a lovely lunch from the Funky Pots cafe and played with the toys there (the cafe is in the next room to the pottery, so you can keep an eye on the kids, if you are still painting). The food was very reasonably priced and the hot chocolate was the best I have tasted in a long time!

I am looking forward to picking the glazed mug up next week and I'm sure that his Dad will be delighted to receive it as a Christmas present.

We had a really nice experience at Funky Pots and would definitely recommend it for all ages. Its the perfect place to go when its cold and raining outside - as it was yesterday."
