Forest Recreation Ground

The Forest Recreation Ground sits about a mile north of the city centre and is well known to many visitors as the site of the annual Nottingham Goose Fair. In addition to hosting many other popular events, Forest Recreation Ground also has a variety of recreation facilities which includes a cafe (opening November 2013), football pitches, play areas, multi-activity pitches, an outdoor gym and a number of designated leisure walks.

The park has recently been restored thanks to a £5.2m Lottery funded restoration project which was completed in July 2013.

The Bubble Rush is the frothiest 5k charity fun run in the world - with a colourful twist! This fun and foamy event will see participants of all ages walking or running through a sea of colourful bubbles, all whilst supporting two great local charities - Nottinghamshire Hospice and the Heart of Experian Charity Fund. As you make your way around the course you’ll pass through coloured bubble stations complete with high-powered foam cannons to cover you head to toe in bright frothy bubbles.

Starting the race in a free white t-shirt you’ll reach the finish line in an array of bright, bubbly colours! The course is suitable for prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs - fun for all the family. By taking part you will be supporting patients with terminal and life-limiting illnesses along with helping smaller groups and organisations that need support in tough financial times.

Early bird prices are available until Friday 11th March priced at £15 for adults and £5 for children (aged 14 and under). After 11th March prices will be £20 for adults and £10 for children.

Ticket:    
If taking part in a group, please ensure you select the same colour wave to ensure you can all take part together. It doesn’t matter which wave you choose - you’ll still get to enjoy running through all colours! Register online through the Nottinghamshire Hospice website or call 0115 910 1008 to request a registration form.
