Review title : Brilliant Night, added by : Clare (28/03/2013)
Event reviewed : 27th March 2013: We Will Rock You
"Absolutely brilliant night. A great night out for all Queen fans. Having seen the performance in London I was worried it would not be as good at the arena. However it was just as good as I remembered and the appearance of Brian May at the end was the perfect end to a perfect night out.
Just want to mention how good the Arena staff were, everyone was very polite and professional and I have never seen a venue empty so quick. They obviously have it down to a fine are.

"I went with a girlfriend to see Steps Reunion Tour...They're Back!!!
What a brilliant night out. Absolutely loved it.
We had a great view from the seats we had but the side screens did help for the close ups. What a brilliant atmosphere.
Well done everyone xx"

Event reviewed : Enrique Iglesias Competition
"I was thrilled to be the winner of this competition. The Capital FM Arena is a great sized venue, you always have a good view and Enrique did not disappoint his predominantly female audience, interacting throughout, he certainly knows what his fans want, I was particularly envious of the two young ladies (and one gentleman) he got up on stage!! He performed all his best known songs including Hero twice. My husband & I had a fantastic couple of days courtesy of "Things to do in Nottinghamshire" We were well looked after at the Holiday Inn, Castle Marina, the room was of a very high standard, lovely & spacious and the breakfast was spot on.
Big thank you once again.

Review title : Strictly Come Dancing, added by : Lisa (15/01/2011)
Event reviewed : 24th Jan 2012: Win Tickets for Strictly!
"Having never watched the TV Show, I was not sure what to expect when the lovely people from the Capital FM Arena, Nottingham invited me to watch Strictly Come Dancing - The Tour.
As always with shows at the Arena, the sets and sound were amazing and you could feel the expectation mounting from the near-capacity crowd. Zoe Ball did a fantastic job as compere for the evening and she was joined by the usual judges - Mr Nasty, Mr Over Exuberant and Mr Sensible in the middle - if you are a Strictly fan, you will know exactly who is who!! It was all good fun though and the audience certainly seemed to enjoy the banter.
The dancing was good - some of it was excellent and many of the stars from previous shows were on the Tour - you could even vote for your favourite to win tonight's competetion by texting!
There was a hilarious twist to the end of the show - which I won't spoil for anyone going - and I would certainly recommend this as a good night out, even if, like me, you're not strictly a Strictly fan ... although I feel that I may have been converted!
There may still be tickets available, so if you're looking for something to do this weekend, this would make a great night out."

Review title : Disney at its absolutely best, added by : Lisa (03/10/2010)

"
Having loved Disney and all the films since I was young, I was very excited to have tickets to the opening night of Disney on Ice - 100 years of Magic at the Trent FM Arena, Nottingham.
Expectation from the many mini Disney Princesses and Buzz Lightyear's in the audience was high and the cheer when Mickey, Minnie and Goofy first appeared on the ice was ear-splitting.
All of our favourite Disney characters were included in the show, including Aladdin, Finding Nemo and Beauty and the Beast, with a compilation of the best-known songs from the films. The ice skating and choreography throughout the show was fantastic and the costumes absolutely amazing. The story of Pinocchio was particularly stunning and we all loved the part when the whale appeared!
My favourite was definitely It's a Small World'. The slightly annoying tune had everyone singing along and the accompanying light show, with a flying Mickey Mouse finale was fantastic.
The show included something for everyone in the audience, old and young. There were children of all ages at the show and they were transfixed right the way through, even though a lot of them were up past their usual bedtime!
100 Years of Magic is just that - all rolled into a couple of hours. This is a must-see show for the whole family. "

Review title : Cirque du Soleil, added by : Lisa (23/07/2010)
Event reviewed : Win Tickets for Cirque Du Soleil
"Thank you for my tickets for Cirque du soleil.
Never have I before sat in public with my mouth agape for 2 hours. What an awesome spectacle.
It was like somebody had slipped something into my drink and then I'd gone to the circus! I ooo'd, ahhhed, laughed and applauded until my hands were red and sore.
What a fantastic display of music and artists of all types, all who appeared to be at the top of their game and seemed to be enjoying themselves whilst doing it. Just when you thought the acts couldn't get anymore daring or different, they pulled something else out of the bag and really wowed the audience.
If you've never been to see Cirque du soleil, do yourself a favour and go and see it, I can promise you that you won't be dissappointed.
Thanks again to Thingstodoinnottinghamshire.co.uk, the seats were fabulous, my wife and I had an absolutely fantasic night.
