Lady Bay Arts Trail 2019

Over the weekend Lady Bay in Nottingham will be hosting 75 artists across 30 venues. Art & Design will be exhibited in homes, studios, gardens & public spaces. There will be free workshops for children at Lady Bay Primary School and a chance throughout the arts trail to meet artists and buy from some of the best artists in the region. There will be refreshments on offer at various points. Local musicians & choirs will feature in a number of venues.

Save the Children Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Walk

Grab your wellies and join in Peppa Pig's Muddy Puddle Walk in aid of Save the Children this Saturday at Rushcliffe Country Park.

Entry is free (donations welcome) and you'll find refreshments, toy stall, lucky dip, lakeside trail.

There's no need to register in advance - just pop along to the Education Centre and sign up on the day.

The Goonies at Broadway Cinema

In order to save their home from foreclosure, a group of misfits set out to find a pirate's ancient valuable treasure. Hey, you guys! THE GOONIES is back on the big screen in 4K and this is your chance to see it at Nottingham's Broadway Cinema.  Whether you fancy revisiting this childhood favourite, or want to take your kids along to see it for the first time, this is the perfect opportunity for a Family Matinee.

The Party Somewhere Else Festival at Nottingham Playhouse

After the success of the festival in 2018, The Party Somewhere Else presents another celebratory week of the best performances made by women and non-binary creatives.

As they take over spaces in the Playhouse, expect world-class theatre, poetry, workshops, comedy and cabaret in a joyful celebration that punches the patriarchy where it hurts. The stages and spaces at their party will be exploding with excitement, energy and equality -fuelled by the power of story, theatre, art and debate.

Pedalfest UK at Sherwood Pines

Pedalfest is an annual Family Cycling Festival, being held this year at Sherwood Pines on 18th & 19th May 2019.

There are activities for all the family including live music, kids bike tracks, electric bike demo rides and bike stunt shows. There will also be live music, a great range of food and drink, including a large bar for all your beverage requirements, as well as a Kids' Village, with exciting activitie and games, freebies, competitions and demo bikes.

You need to pay for carparking at Sherwood Forest which costs £2 for up to 1 hour, £4 for up to 2 hours or £6 all day. You must have the correct change.



Bark for Life at Rushcliffe Country Park

Bark For Life is an annual fundraising event which is raising money to fund life-saving research for Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK’s vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.  Dogs and their owners pay to take part in a 5km or 10km around the beautiful Rushcliffe Country Park.  On the day there will also be doggie games, refreshments, a fun dog show by Yew Tree Canine Society, poochtastic stalls, dog agility classes, lots of fundraising stalls, prizes for the most charitable dog and a professional photography tent.

You need to register your dog on the day for the fun categories and for the walks.  It costs £6 per dog plus an optional £2.50 for a bandana (if available).  More information here.

Derbyshire Food and Drink Festival

OK - it's Derbyshire but, if the weather is a bit iffy, this might be a good one to head over to ... Held at Kedleston Hall, you'll find a home, craft and gift tent, live music, street food, cookery theatre with chef demonstrations, children's activities and more.  More information here.
